We Can Do this!

Lorrie’s first book continues to be her passion. This book was grown out of lessons learned while caregiving for her elderly parents. It is advice from experience but also a guide with tips, lists, resources and research to guide and support families, healthcare workers and senior communities with later-life caregiving advice.

“We Can Do This!” provides adult children with the tools to organize and execute for success.”

MY STORY

Just before launching this book, I discovered an old yellowed letter, written by my late mother, with the words better to be prepared scrawled on the outside of the envelope. The letter was written by my parents before a trip they were taking together and tucked into a desk drawer. Inside were instructions for me - in case something should happen to them.

Years later, when I became their caregiver, I realized the importance of such documents. We regularly talked about housing, well-being, funerals, and even death. In “We Can Do This!” I address these important topics of later-life caregiving as I share my journey and the stories of others.

My hope is this book will be a guide and a conversation starter as we embrace the difficult topics of aging and death. My goal is to help you on your journey.

Sincerely,

Lorraine Lorrie Morales, Author, Educator, Presenter and Speaker
